Why You're Not Receiving What You're Asking For (Inspired by Jeremiah 29:11)

People love to say, "Ask and you shall receive." But if that's true, why aren't you receiving? The problem isn't always about fate, karma, or divine punishment. Sometimes, it's the system or the choices you're afraid to make.

It's easy to think the universe, God, or life itself is blocking you. But here's the truth: Sometimes, the ones blocking your blessings aren't spiritual forces. It's corrupt people around you, bad systems, or even your own fear of leaving your comfort zone.

I don't want to write this like everyone else does and say it's you and only you because we all know that we all have others in our paths that make life ultra difficult for us, but not impossible.

Too often, we accept our fate too quickly and blame God, or the universe for our struggles.

You hear it everywhere:

"Maybe it's just not meant for me."

"Maybe I'm being punished."

"Maybe this is karma."

But here's a hard truth nobody likes to admit:
It's not always about divine punishment.

In many places around the world, most of the suffering people face isn't spiritual.

It's not because God is angry at you.

It's primarily because of greedy, selfish people who benefit from others' suffering.

It's corrupt systems keep people stuck. Leaders who only care about themselves rob others of opportunities. Some folks at the top thrive on keeping everyone else down.

And sometimes, the problem isn't even external. It's internal.

You could be asking the universe, praying, and wishing every day... but still staying stuck because you won't move. You're afraid to let go of your comfort zone, afraid to take risks, or waiting for permission that's never coming.

The truth?

Asking isn't enough if you're still clinging to the same mindset, same circles, or same patterns that keep you trapped.

This isn't about blame, it's about responsibility.

You're not being punished. You're not cursed. But you do have to be bold enough to change your approach; and smart enough to recognize when people in power are blocking your path.

Remember this:

You are allowed to ask for more. You are allowed to expect better. But sometimes, the greatest shift happens not when you ask harder but when you stop settling.

You still think it's the system? Ok... That's why God created voter registration cards. Find others in your community who feel the same way you do--and do something about it.

Yes, sometimes getting what you want requires a revolution. The Bible is all about that too! Help yourself, remember?
