Protect your self from those who offer to help you with their hidden agendas. Not every leader wants to help you. Some are just waiting for bad things to happen to you because your struggle is their opportunity. Stay alert. Protect your dignity and don't fall for fake help disguised as kindness.

It's sad, but true, some people in power benefit from your pain. i am not going to turn this into a Republican vs Democrat thing but you do know what I am taking about. They wait for disaster, then swoop in pretending to help, while secretly cashing in on your downfall. That's why you have to protect yourself. Not every offer is a lifeline. Some are traps.

Whether it is political, social or religious, some leaders aren't looking out for you. They're looking out for themselves.

In places like Haiti, and honestly, in many corners of the world, there are people in power who wait for disaster. They don't lose sleep over your struggles, they profit from them.

When crisis hits, they see opportunity.

When people are desperate, they see dollar signs.

While others cry, they cash in.

This isn't just politics, it's a dangerous game.

They'll show up acting like heroes, offering solutions, making speeches, smiling for cameras. But behind closed doors, they're pocketing money from the very same crisis they claim to be fixing.

That's why it's so important to protect yourself. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally.

Don't fall for every promise.
Don't trust every hand that reaches out.
Stay smart. Stay aware.

You deserve to live with dignity, peace, and freedom--and it's your right to expect that from your leaders. But until the system truly protects you, protect yourself.

Remember: not everyone who says they're here to help is really on your side. Some people are counting on your downfall to get ahead.

Protect your heart. Protect your mind.
And most of all--don't fall bait.

I'll never forget something one of my advisors told me back when I first went to college. She shared her story about how, when she was younger, she dropped out of high school after getting pregnant.

Later in life, she realized how much she was struggling. She wanted to change her life, so she decided to go back to school to earn her GED. At the same time, she worked two jobs to take care of her daughter.

She told me that she once went to a social worker to see if she could get some government help--just enough to make ends meet while she finished her GED and eventually go to college.

But do you know what they told her?

They said, "If you quit your jobs, you'll qualify for all the help you need."

In other words, it's all or nothing. She'd get the help--but only if she gave up everything she was working for.

She told me she walked away from that office without taking the help, because she refused to trade her future for temporary comfort.

That was her success story, and her reminder to me:
Not every offer of help is really meant to help you. Some are just traps to keep you stuck.

Read Proverbs 16:12

Sometimes when help comes your way, pray on it, ask yourself: "Is this real help or somebody else's hidden agenda to make a quick profit while making my hole deeper." Seek guidance in The Bible so you can raise your awareness and choose dignity over easy shortcuts.
